What was completely shocking however, and made me question how I could be paying so much for the hotel room was the complete lack of any room cleaning services! The hotel has decided to use Covid as an excuse for there being no room cleaning - yet surprisingly nowhere else in the hotel were Covid measures in place (eg no consistent mask wearing, an open buffet, no hand sanitizing stations, no recommendations for social distancing, etc). But at least after a very smoky walk through the casino floor to my hotel room (only way to get to your room) I found the room to be decorated nicely and my kids really enjoyed the pool area. Not exactly the type of person you want welcoming guests to your hotel. The visit got off to a rocky start with an unfriendly welcome by the woman at reception. The same young lady was there was less than thrilled to to see us we asked what the deal was on room maintenance? She informed us there was … we clean when you leave! Wait, what?! That doesn’t count! I should hope you clean before the next guest! “It’s because of COVID”? You’re there so long in your rooms they might get COVID?🙄” but we can deliver towels but you have to be there.” Wait you won’t clean our room because we’re there but… we have to be there to get our towels?🤔 Of course the price was the same as before if not more expensive! But you’re getting less! Good business model! I’ll think twice before I’ll be back!… She reiterated the same policy but then said we can cancel his reservation and make new one, WHAT? Ok, you won’t let me check in for both of us but I can cancel his reservation? Ok so, wondering why our room was not serviced, like at all, no trash, towels, cleaning, etc. She then said we can’t except the spouses check in? Huh? Then I asked to talk to the manager. I said “hi” and handed her my confirmation number and she was a bit dismissive and asked for my ID, I was like, ok? I told her my husband made the reservation and he was checking in later. Her fellow employee was very pleasant and helpful.
